OM-3 Tokyo-Wetzlar

James Bloomer
Recipe Sample Image
Tokyo-Wetzlar Profile is a digital CCD sensor emulation defined by its mid tone-driven tonal density and warm-neutral color bias -- qualities drawn from the Kodak CCD sensor heritage shared by Olympus cameras engineered in Tokyo and Leica cameras developed in Wetzlar. It distinguishes itself through selective color emphasis, restrained contrast, and a rendered quality that favors depth over clinical accuracy. Its visual signature is characterized by luminous, amber-leaning reds, deep and saturated blues, and deliberately suppressed greens producing images that feel weighted, painterly, and quietly cinematic without exaggeration. Kodak CCD sensors were developed as a digital equivalent to 'Film'. Kodaks vast knowledge of color science and chemistry was the base.
